We are looking for people ages 14-19 to work after noons part time cleaning and putting kayaks and canoes back on racks. Must be able to work most weekends, some weekday work will be available. Start at $8 an hour. ... We are also looking for van drivers. Ages 18 years old and up. Must have good driving record, clean and friendly appearance and be able to lift 25 lbs. no cdl required, but help full. Must be able to work most weekends 7:30 am to 1:30pm. As the season comes to an end we thought we’d just post a reminder that our Laurel Hill Location will be closed Monday August 26th - Friday August 30th because many of our employees go back to school. We will reopen Saturday August 31st for Labor Day weekend!! Our Last day of operation at the lake is Monday September 2nd.

Our second location in Laurel Hill State Park Somerset PA is hosting Paddle for Puppies! There are two more programs left before the summer ends, August 15th & August 29th. Cost is $10 per person CASH ONLY or you may bring 1 donation item per person to cover rental fee. All proceeds will be given to the Humane Society of Somerset County. Begins at 5 PM.

All kayaks that were for sale are all gone . No more kayaks for sale at this time. We still have over 20 canoes for sale.

Hazelbaker's Canoes needs a few great people to work on the dock at the river through the end of the season. Last day is September 8. Weekends from 2pm-7:30pm. Hazelbakers canoe rental. These kayaks are in fair shape, we have a couple of them for sale. They are Kopapa kayaks, 8.5 feet long and 27" wide.The boat weighs approximately 25 lbs. Perfect for people between 90 and 150 lbs, even though the weight limit is actually 200 lbs. They all float and have been used well, but still have a lot of life left in them. July 15 2019 WE ARE OPEN! The river has finally dropped to a usable leave. This week will be the best time to canoe and kayak at our river location. So take a day off work this week and get on the water! There is no telling what will happen by the weekend with this Hurricane coming up from the south so you should get out while the getting is good!

July 14 2019 we will not be open at river location today do to high water again. But our lake location at laurel Hill state park will be open from 10am until 5pm Sorry

With regrets I am sorry to inform everyone that the river location will be closed today due to Highwater. However tomorrow looks good the river should drop enough and should be a great day to reschedule for Sunday the 14th. Our lake location will remain open from 10 AM to 5 PM seven days a week. We don’t take reservations up there but there are plenty of boats to choose from so come on up and try to stand up paddleboard or our new seven person canoe.
