Our friends at the Peter Herdic Transportation Museum will be open this weekend. Trolley Tours will also be operating.

The Hiawatha begins sailing on Friday, July 3rd, 2020. Hiawatha, Inc. will follow the same restaurant/bar guidelines in place due to COVID-19. Tables will be 6 feet apart, 6 feet away from the bar and no more than groups of 4 can be seated at a table. Facial coverings must be worn by passengers when boarding and departing cruises and when moving about the enclosed lower deck. Masks may be removed when seated at tables in side the lower deck or on any open-air spaces includi...ng the bow and upper deck. All food and beverage orders must be done via table service and wait staff, individual passengers may not order directly at the bar. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced on the open-air bow and upper deck where passengers may move about freely. All employees will be required to wear facial coverings. Hand sanitizing stations will be available on both decks and high touch areas will be cleaned frequently. There is a reduction on the number of passengers allowed on each cruise and the Captain of the vessel will have absolute authority in maintaining safety on each excursion.

The Hiawatha will not operate in June and pending Governor Wolf’s further recommendations we will determine when the boat will resume cruises.

While the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat celebrates the history of the logging era in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, there are many changes that have been made since the 1920’s. 100 years ago things were very different How much things were in 1920:? Coffee was 47 cents.... A half-gallon of milk was priced at 33 cents. A big ole watermelon was nothing but 2 cents. A classic Hoover vacuum cleaner would cost you $38.95.
