Hicks Run Outfitters

The hardest working man in Benezette. Our owner/outfitter Jeff Colwell is an outfitter, hunting guide, wildlife educator, trapper, tour guide, contractor, handyman, snake abatement specialist and a retired conservation officer among other things. Jeff and his guides have been out pounding the hills and valleys to find elk for their hunters. We plan on having a very successful season next week but the work started months ago for the Hicks Run Outfitter crew. Wishing all safe travels as they get ready to head our way for the hunt of a lifetime.

Looking for big bulls...

The things you see while scouting... These guys were in a bachelor group but still had some fight left in them. A couple of bulls sparring on the hillside.

Putting in the work. Zone 2 hunter Steve and his buddy Cliff put on some boot miles scouting this weekend with their guide. Seeing a lot of elk and sign, making a plan and getting ready. Rifle season opens in one week.
