Cranberry High Noon Toastmasters 14.05.2021

Just a reminder to sign up asap for the free Spring Conference this Saturday to hear four incredible speakers, including Aaron Beverly, 2019 World Champion of Public Speaking. Spring Conference is a great opportunity for you to ramp up your own Toastmasters experience, learn and refresh your best practices as a leader in your community and all organizations you serve. You will receive best practices from a world champion and an accredited speaker along with training dedicated to conscious leadership. Virtual doors open at 8:30 AM and will wrap up around 1:30 PM. 03/29 Theme: The Power of Mentoring WOD : Protege Toastmaster: Toastmaster Linde Riley, PM3 This was a special themed meeting to promote Toastmasters mentorship program. The idea was a result of a brainstorming session. Toastmaster Diana Lomelin, PM4 provided the leadership and worked hard over the past couple of months to make this a successful event. Well done Toastmaster Diana Lomelin. ... We have three excellent speeches related to Toastmasters by Toastmaster Diana Lomelin, PM 4, Toastmaster Bob Johnson, DTM and Toastmaster Rahul Bagal, CC all related to mentorship. Some excellent speech evaluations by Toastmasters Mike McKivigan, CC, IP1, Amit Grover, IP3 and Linde Riley, PM3. A huge shout out to Toastmaster Ale Perez, EC3 who came up with a very unique way of conducting Table Topics with some interesting mentorship related table topics. We also had the following dignitaries who took the time to attend this special theme project. Special Thank You to Toastmaster Patti Thor, DTM, District Director, Toastmaster John Sinclair, DTM, Club Growth Director, Toastmaster Fred Vornbrock, DTM, Area 13 Director and our own Toastmaster Bob Johnson, DTM, Program Quality Director.

Cranberry High Noon successfully conducts The International speech contest and Table Topics speech contest virtually. We would like to congratulate all the participants from CHN who participated in the Table Topics Speech and International Speech Contest on Monday 11th January, 2021. The participants in the Table Topics speech were Toastmasters Jyoti Khare, Amit Grover-IP2, Darren Hartman, Sarah Souri-DTM and Linde Riley-PM2 and Toastmaster Amit Grover-IP2 was the participant... in the International Speech contest. Toastmaster Linde Riley, PM2 placed first in the Table Topics contest and Toastmaster Amit Grover, IP2 placed first in the International Speech Contest. They will both represent CHN at Area 13 Contest on 17th February. Thank you to all the officials who officiated the contest, all the guests and members who attended the contested.

Our Grammarian was Toastmaster Sarah R Souri, DTM... Toastmaster Jyoti Khare gave a speech titled "The Fighting Spirit" Toastmaster Diana Lomelin PI3 some great questions for the Table Topics (Impromptu speaking) which tied in well with the new year. One of the many great questions she came up was "how do you improve your relationship with yourself this year?" Toastmaster Sue Ellis, DTM, EH2 was exceptional in the general evaluator role and provided us with excellent tips on how we further improve virtual meetings. See more

Cranberry High Noon Speech Announces the CHN Club Contest for Monday 11th January, 2021 The International speech contest and Table Topics speech contest are upon us. CHN club will be hosting our speech contest on January 11th, 2021- 90-minute online contest during regular meeting!! This year will be thrilling as we embark on District 13’s Inaugural Virtual Contests. Per Toastmasters International, all Speech Contests at the Area-, Division-, and District-levels must be conduc...ted online. There will be an International speech contest and a Table Topics speech contest. For the International speech contest, the contestants will give a 5-7 minute speech on a topic of their choice. For the Table Topics speech contest, all contestants will be given a question to answer - no preparation needed! Guest are welcome to attend. We are currently meeting online only due to Covid. 12/21 Theme: Holiday Social WOD : Festive Toastmaster: Toastmaster Tina Kramer, PM5, DL4 This was a special event as this was our Holiday Social meeting so the agenda we didn't have any member doing an assignment speech. Our Grammarian was Toastmaster Kathleen Kuznicki, DTM,VC2, DL1... Toastmaster Tim O'Brien, VC1 was the time keeper. Toastmaster Linde Riley, PM2 worked very hard before the meeting by reaching out to the members for asking them for 2 Truths and 1 lie. She and Toastmaster Tina Kramer put together a very good power point with all the members 2 Truths and 1 Lie. Congratulations! See more
