Its a great day to go eagle watching on The Stourbridge Line's heated railcars. They have seen quite a few the last couple of weeks. The Stourbridge Line is r...unning trips through the entire winter on Wednesday at 1pm and Saturdays at 12pm and 3pm. We still have some seats available on the 12:00pm Winter Wonderland Limited or the 3pm Pocono Winter Wonderland Express. Call 570-470-2697 or check us out online at www.thestourbridgeline.net Eagle photos taken by my friend George Knickerbocker. See more

Spring is just around the corner. As a matter of fact we have a great way to bring it even closer. Join us on The BL2&BBQ train excursion March 6th at 12:00pm, its a beautiful ride and it also helps to benefit the Bethany United Methodist Church!

Just got some great new items in the gift shop. Train gifts for the kids and the kids at heart, Thomas the Train, and more. Honesdale Christmas magnets featuring Main St Christmas Eve and the Dick Smith House make great stocking stuffers. Snowglobes, Shemanski Syrup, Moka Origins Fine Crafted Chocolate Bars, Railroad Spike Sculptures, jewelery box, train picture frames and more. I also have a special on Magic Mugs (a picture of local Honesdale scenes appears when hot liquid is added) they were $15.00, now on sale for $10.00 while supplies last. If you are looking for something special, check out the webpage https://historichonesdale.com/gift-shop-items

As most of you know, I love where I live and do all that I can to promote local business. I try to feature local crafted products in the gift shop/ticket office here at The Stourbridge Line. We are blessed to have thousands visit here to ride the train here in the Birthplace of the American railroad. Most of the visitors are interested in purchasing "local gifts and souvenirs". I am proud to feature Shemanski Maple Products, Hop Barons rubs, and other items of historic nature. Our newest addition, Moka Origins hand crafted chocolate bars are a story by themselves. Their products are Fair Trade Certified and USDA Organic and are gluten and soy free. If you are looking for "local" gifts for family and friends, stop by and see me Tuesday thru Sunday 8:30am -4:30pm in the Visitors Center. Call 570-470-9532 for information

As small businesses continue to close all around us, this feels important. Calling all friends who are self-employed, who run their own business, or want to support small businesses! Let's see the variety of business endeavours in our extended circles. Post a link to your website below WITHOUT a description - just the link, it speaks for itself. Anyone who follows me can see it and visit your site. Copy this text onto your own page and give others the chance to reach more people through your circle. Let's help each other out. Holidays are just around the corner, wouldn’t it be nice to get a handmade gift for someone? #smallbiz #community #shopsmall
