Roughing in the bottom side of the tang, I'll be finishing the shape with the burr and then hitting the buffing wheel briefly. I spent the afternoon grinding the blades I started yesterday, they are all ready to have the handles fit.

It was a very productive day, several knives forged from 5160 and ready to hit the grinder! I had a visitor interested in learning about bladesmithing stop in too, he did a great job for never forging hot steel before!

More progress on the dagger, the carbon fiber scales are installed and buffed. Next will be a Kydex sheath, I have never used Kydex before but this knife absolutely needs it!

This set is done! The length is more suited for an open hearth fireplace compared to the last set that was designed shorter for a fireplace insert.

I also finished a few of these ornaments/gifts today. You definitely don't have to worry about these breaking if they fall on the floor!

Another set ready for the finial finish, this one is larger than the last set and it has a forged base instead of the stone.

Another project in the fire! I'm getting into the groove now!
