We said goodbye this morning. Dad passed just after midnight this morning. We are so blessed to have been loved by him. So many people were blessed by him as we...ll. He was the best dad any girl could ask for, thank you dad! The last few days have been exhausting. Our hearts are broken but full of love and joy as our family gathered to spend the last few days and minutes with our dad. He filled our lives with love joy and peace. What an amazing man! He continues to bring our family together even as we watched him go. It was a peaceful and beautiful transition. Thanks for your love and support

Update on dad: We are bringing him home on hospice. Hopefully he will be home as early as tomorrow. Thank you for your continued support, love, prayer, and thoughts.

Update on dad: We were able to have a zoom call with him yesterday. Not much to report, still no real changes or improvement. He opened his eyes some but no rea...l eye contact. His breathing is progressing but he still has the trache in and would probably be at least a week before that is removed. Thanks as always for thinking of us and reaching out. We appreciate it.

Just received and update on dad from Patty Hooper: Good news. I spoke to Dad’s nurse. She said he is sleeping since she came on. She tried to wake him. He is n...ot on sedation. I asked her to transfer me to respiratory department. I talked to Cindy. Here’s the good news. She said they took the ventilator off a couple of days ago. He is on a trach collar. He only gets oxygen when needed. He is breathing on his own. They put a speaking valve in today. Not too successful yet. His rehabilitation is heading in the right direction. Thanks for holding him and us close to your hearts. We are thankful and hopeful this holiday season and hope you are all filled with peace and joy as well

It has been a few days so I wanted to give an update on dad. He was moved to a new facility yesterday. The staff there have said he is responding but his left h...and responds slower than the right. We will take whatever response he can give. Mom is no longer able to visit. The new facility is designed to help folks on ventilators and with neurological issues. Thanks for your continued love.
