Thursday’s Thought Revelation 1:12-20 Here is a manifestation of Jesus in a vision we have not seen before. It is somewhat reminiscent of the 4th man standing in the furnace fire in Daniel. The Son of Man coming to stand among His people to strengthen and encourage during their time of persecution and trouble. He holds in His right hand, the angels of the seven churches. This is an immense presence. Appearing in this mighty form, Jesus, while clearly capable of snuffing out any attack to His churches, reveals Himself in this manner to make known Who it is that awaits them when their time of faithfulness in tribulation is completed and what awaits those doing the persecuting. I think I too would fall dead at his feet as well

Tuesday’s Truth Revelation 1:9 John is a fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus (and a fellow bond servant) just like those to whom he writes and warns of what is about to take place soon.... John was exiled to an island for his faithfulness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. Many however were killed, martyred for their faithfulness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. One estimate is that 2 million were murdered between 50ad and 325ad. This is one last message John was told to pen to seven churches in Asia to forewarn them of all that is about to take place to them. For faithfulness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Friday’s Focus (2/5) 2 Timothy 3:7 Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth describes a very frustrating place for a person to be. It must be born from thinking that one can’t come to know truth. It is not arrogant to think that one can recognize truth, but rather it is humbling to align with the truth when you do recognize it.

Thursday’s Thought (2/4) 2 Timothy 2:25 There is truth. We are to correct. And we are to be gentle about it, not forcing people to agree with us but allowing God to work on their hearts. Hearts are out of our jurisdiction.

We are excited to announce that our Children’s Wing (ages nursery- pre k) will be opening on the 1st Sunday of every month beginning in February. That’s this Sunday, February 7th.

Wednesday’s Word (2/3) 2 Timothy 2:24 be patient when wronged... This doesn’t say when they are wrong, but when we are wronged. i.e. when we are mistreated, we must be patient. We need not quickly react. Nowhere in Scripture are we told to quickly react. Quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger
