Highland Hornets

Good afternoon RYFO NATION. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions we will NOT be able to play our scheduled home game this Saturday - August 22nd vs Guyasut...a @ Golden Rams Stadium. However, we are pleased to announce that we will be playing our game @ Bushman Field. We would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the Highland Hornets for working together with us so the cheerleaders & football players can have spectators in attendance. Game times will remain the same. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce, due to declining participation over the past few years and the financial impact of both ongoing vandalism and now COVID-19, there will not be a Highland Hornets 2020 season. Please keep watching our page for fundraisers and details/more info concerning the future of the organization. This was not an easy decision to make, but it was necessary in order to allow the kids who were already registered/planning to registe...r to have the time to register elsewhere for the season. We are especially sad for our would be "seniors" who will not be able to have their last season and graduate the Highland Hornets as maybe their siblings and parents have before them. Therefore, we will be reaching out to them with plans to still receive their jackets. We appreciate all of the support and hard work we have received over this past year from many and we will soon begin planning the future of the Highland Hornets. Thank you.

***ATTENTION*** We are sad to announce that even though federal law permits us, and we are private property, Harrison Township refuses to allow us to have our fireworks day. Unfortunately we just do not have the funds (or energy for that matter) to fight it out in court. We also do not have enough time to even apply for anything they require. If you would like a refund if you donated, please contact the page. ... I apologize to everyone for the let down hopes and disappointment. We truly wanted to do something great for this area. Its unfortunate others don't.

Ok Hornets family!! Its that time!! Our official registration party day is going to be on Saturday the 4th of July this year!! We will be hosting a community get together and fireworks display. There will be food, music, fun and fireworks! Bring your cheerleader or football player ages 5-12 to Bushman Field and register to become part of our Hornets family!!! Please plan on filling out registration papers. *All new players must provide a birth certificate and live within the... Highlands School District. Help keep the tradition alive by volunteering! If you're interested in helping out for the registration party or during the season, please send me a message! We are looking to get our parents and the community more involved. Also, there will be a meeting concerning the party on Tuesday 6/16 at 7pm down at the field, 2600 Karns Road Natrona Heights. Please come see us then if you can help. We also have a fireworks fundraiser page set up. We need to raise money in order to pull this off. We are hosting for the entire community to see. There will also be some donation cans set up this coming week at the local Natrona Heights gas stations. Please consider a donation. We are also possibly looking for vendors! If we have enough interest, we can turn this thing into a festival of sorts! So if you have a business and would be interested in setting up a spot, please contact us. I am super excited to do this! This whole year has been nothing but crazy. Lets get back to some normalcy. Love each other. Love our community.
