It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our dear adopted cats. Shaymus has crossed the rainbow bridge. We are very grateful to his family for taking such good care of him. If we can be of any further assistance, please give us a call at 724 654-8520 and we will return your call as quickly as we can. Be assured the animals here at the shelter are still being cared for. We received the cutest update from our girl Liberty! She is one happy girl! Just look at that smile. Here is what Miss Liberty (Libby) had to say: Wow I love it here!!!! I slept in bed last night with mom and dad..with my head on a pillow!!! I was so comfy. I broke 4 squeaky toys so far, but mom said we can go get more tomorrow I was home alone today for a few hours while mom went to school but I was a good girl!!!!!... WTG girl! We are so proud of you!

Meet Coral This sweet, young girl came to LCHS as a stray with a severe injury. She had to have orthopedic surgery to repair a severely broken pelvis. Her surge...ry was done a few days ago at Middle Road Animal Clinic. She is showing promise of walking again. She is moving her one back leg pretty well, and has stood and taken a step. WTG Coral!! We are so proud of you! Thank to all who contributed for her surgery! *Coral still has a ways to go in her recovery and will remain in foster care until she is cleared by the vet for adoption.*

The Pulaski dogs are doing so well! The 3 tan and white ones are now available for adoption at the Anna Shelter in Erie, Pa. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful working relationship with such a great organization. The little black and white one is Sammy. He is at LCHS and is currently adoption pending. Thank you to the wonderful officers at the Pulaski Township Police Department for getting these dogs to safety and to our amazing community for their support!
