We partnered with Project Libertad again this week to provide a Know Your Rights presentation to nearly 90 Norristown Area middle schoolers! IPN also gave tips on recognizing and managing psychological stress, and helped to correct common myths about mental health. #shatterthestigma #ImmigrantsHaveRights

We are thrilled to announce Immigrant Psychology Network's plans to partner with Project Libertad, thanks to a PA is Ready grant! Through this partnership, we’ll be providing Know Your Rights presentations along with free legal and mental health screenings. We will also provide psychoeducational groups to newcomer youth in Montgomery and Chester counties, as well as psychological evaluations to support their immigration cases.

The pandemic has hit our immigrant and refugee families the hardest. Many have been left unemployed and unable to qualify for any relief. Our friends at Project Libertad have identified 30 families with children in need of emergency funds in Chester and Montgomery Counties. Please consider donating. Any little bit helps.

The forced separation of parents and children at any age is an inhumane practice. A sudden or traumatic separation from a parent can cause toxic levels of stress that has the potential to harm a child's physical development and psychological wellbeing. #familiesbelongtogether

If anyone is looking for a solution to our current detention crisis, we had one. It was humane. It was cost effective. It ended in 2017: http://immigrationimpact.com//the-government-ended-an-ef/
