Sappy post alert! I am SO STINKIN’ PROUD of this man I am so honored to call my husband. He successfully completed his last class needed to *officially* graduate with his bachelors and whew, what a journey it has been! We’ve been praying and praying for the Lord to open a door for Matt to complete his degree for many years now, while trusting that His plan is way better than we could dream up ourselves. After growing weary and worrying it would never happen, the Lord opene...d the door for Matt to complete his degree at a local college, and it just so happened this class’s schedule would be a perfect fit for his second shift job. We never dreamt that this class would be happening during a dang global pandemic, which only further complicated things. BUT GOD! Since late summer this guy has been juggling an incredibly difficult college class (with an online ‘’lab’’), working 40+ hours a week, and still being a wonderful and attentive husband and father to our little dudes. We’ve sacrificed so much these last few months and so much was on the line, but we held steady to the plan and trusted the Lord when it seemed to be all too much. So many people covered us in prayer and gave us encouragement and I am so, so thankful for those kind words and prayers spoken over us. The class is over, Matt did better in the class than we could have hoped, and I am the proudest wife I cannot wait to hang his diploma up in our office to serve as a visual reminder that we can do hard things when we stand firm in our faith and trust the Lord in every season. It may not seem like a huge deal, but for us, it’s a massive victory and the biggest blessing. I was going through older work today, and found this favorite shot from my 2019 wedding season. No masks in sight. Friends and family gathered in close proximity to share in the celebration of this newly married couple. Hugs and handshakes a-plenty. Oh how I’m hoping and praying some sense of the ‘’old normal’’ makes an appearance in this upcoming new year. Cause ya girl’s a hugger, and I know I can speak for all my fellow hug-loving friends that we are not okay In other news, the final countdown to Christmas is ON and I’m grabbing every opportunity I can to experience that holiday spirit and joy. Taking Christmas pictures in cheesy matching family jammies brings me an insane amount of joy As we finish out quite possibly the toughest year for our family/the country/the world, anything that brings this much joy just had to happen, uncooperative toddlers and a less-than-thrilled husband be darned. I’m working through my last wedding of 2020 and I am having way too much fun reliving this beautiful day! Kaitlyn had THE best group of ladies by her side who also served as the best hype-women ever, showering her with compliments and hilarious comments that had me laughing behind my camera the entire time.
