TAX DAY is TOMORROW: July 15, 2020! If you haven’t filed your federal tax return yet, be sure to do so by tomorrow! Remember, this is the deadline to file AND pay any tax bills that are due.... You may still file for an extension (10/15/2020). NOTE: This allows you to defer filing your federal tax return, BUT you still need to PAY any taxes due by the 7/15/2020 due date! Yes, it’s confusing, but that’s how it’s set up. 7/15/2020 is also the deadline to make contributions to your 2019 IRA (max $6,000) and HSA (max $3500 for individuals and $7,000 for families). Take advantage of these tax-deferred plans! Remember, the goal with taxes is NOT to get the biggest refund. It’s to stay smart with your taxes year-round so that you’re not paying more than you need to! EMAIL me: [email protected] TEXT me @ 724-255-9519

This means that if you are currently in default on a student loan and the IRS would have typically confiscated your refund to pay that debt, you can file your taxes and receive your refund. This is temporary so get them filed.
