Jerrys II has had a very 2020 year. Let’s hope the metaphor extends to our friends, neighbors, nation, and human’s everywhere and we all, with a little luck, find a way overcome this science fiction year and put it behind us.

Jerrys II passed final electrical inspection today! It’s been an odyssey, a tempest, a shit storm, whatever you wanna call it, but it is coming together and we are on track, pending final L&I inspection, to be legal and open by Oct 1 or very shortly thereafter with Loyaltee Beauty in the storefront, Galaxy Sound Studios upstairs, and 8 more rehearsal rooms in the back. About 75% of the building had been disused, crumbling, and boarded up since WWII and we are thrilled to be reactivating the space, facilitating the visions of small businesspeople, and bringing goods & services to the Germantown Ave corridor.

Celebrating 3 years of Jerrys on Front today, which opened September 15, 2017. From our first event - the @thenumerogroup pop up when it was literally a shell - thru the renovation with the stalwart @roderickthebrave and @kehsoblanco among others, through to our first show about a month later - Headroom/Long Hits/Sunwatchers - and beyond, it’s been one of the most rewarding things I’ve been a part of, aside from my marriage to @madumlao which, holy crap, was 20 years ago on t...his date! Thx to all who have played, jammed, talked, laughed, and just plain hung out at Jerrys. I’ve savored every single show because I’ve known all along that doing shows would not last forever and could be shut down by a variety of factors. Never thought it’d be a pandemic but I’m looking forward to starting up whenever it’s safe to do so again. One love, people! See more
