I am looking forward with anticipation an audience this evening where Mr. Hamilton's life will be recounted. Then, on the morrow, reading the Declaration of Independence from my front porch.

Please join me this evening, if you may make yourselves available, that we might speak on the subject of independence and how it shall have an affect on those who live on the frontier.

It is a most recent occurrence that Mr Weiser hosted a meeting of the chief's of the surrounding tribes at Harris' Ferry. My house was the center for the conversations where over 160 natives were in attendance. January 23, 1756
