Yesterday the Federal District Court ruled Gov Wolf’s mandates against small businesses to be Unconstitutional. Effective immediately all mandates against restaurants/bars are lifted. That being said john Henry’s will continue socially distanced tables. John Henry’s will continue to require masks for staff and customers upon entering. However john Henry’s will no longer require a meal purchase in order to buy a drink and john Henry’s will not close our business at 10pm as p...reviously mandated by Gov Wolf. Tonight after we close john Henry’s will redesign the bar layout to accommodate socially distanced barstools once again! We are thrilled with this ruling and will continue being responsible business owners who make the safety of our staff and customers our number one priority. The new mandate regarding restaurants effective September 21st allows restaurants who self certify to open at 50%. It also demands all restaurants with liquor licenses to close at 10pm. This helps no one but large establishments. The small mom and pop places will not be able to open at 50% because their square footage doesn't allow for more tables at 6 feet apart. Ending alcohol sales at 10 hurts the mom and pops. Now they're losing about 20 hours or more a week in sales and still can't have more people.
