Happy New Year to all of our customers! 2020 was quite the year for us...between the barbershop being shut down for 11 weeks and then the sudden retirement of John due to his cancer diagnosis, we were all faced with many unique challenges. But through it all, you stuck by us and we are forever grateful for your support. We have 2 exciting things we wanted to share with you as we enter into this new year. First, as most of you are aware, John has been receiving very aggres...sive chemo treatments for the past few months that have really taken a toll on him. But great news...the treatment is working and all of his tumors have shrunk considerably!! Hopefully after a few more heavy treatments, his dosage will be lowered and he can transition to a maintenance program. We’re thankful for all of you who have reached out and we ask that you continue to pray for John and his family. Second, we are happy to announce that we have a new barber joining our team. Barber Jim is a recent graduate of the Barber School Of Pittsburgh. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a retired State Trooper. Jim resides in New Florence with his wife, son, and two daughters. He will be at the barbershop on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will be listed on the Booksy app for those days. He’s really looking forward to meeting and serving the clients at John's Barbershop. Don’t forget to use the Booksy app or call the shop and leave a message to schedule your next appointment well in advance.

Merry Christmas from John’s Barbershop! This year has certainly been the year of changes for us here at the barbershop! But you, our loyal customers, have stuck by us and supported us in ways we could have never imagined. We feel extremely blessed by your kindness and generosity throughout all of our ups and downs this year. Here’s to a blessed Christmas and a prosperous and healthy new year!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the barbershop! It was quite the group effort to get decorated today! Make sure to stop by and check it out!

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! During this time, the shop will be closed until Tuesday for some repairs and updates. Please make sure you are booking your appointments as early as possible. The first available is Saturday, December 5th, so please don’t wait till the last minute to schedule!

We want to start off by saying thank you to our loyal customers. There's been a lot of changes recently at the shop, yet you've continued to support us in so many ways. Thank you! Since John's retirement last month, I have extended my hours in order to accomodate as many customers as possible. Even with the extra time slots, the appointments are filling up fast. It is recommended that you schedule your next appointment at least a week in advance to ensure an available date an...d time that works best for you. Please know that we are still continuing our search for another barber. But also understand that this may take some time in order to make sure that we find the right person for the type of atmosphere that we want to maintain. Lastly, John and his family want to express their deep gratitude to all of your for the cards, texts, calls, visits, meals, and well wishes. All of you have helped raise his spirits during this very difficult time. Please continue to send your thoughts and prayers as he begins treatment this week for his lung cancer. Since we shared the news of John’s diagnosis last week, we have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support that you all have shown us. Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers, and we ask that you continue to do so as we move forward. After 56 years of serving his community in the barbershop, John has decided to retire in order devote his time to his health, recovery and his family. While we are sad to see an end to this era, we look forward to upholding th...e legacy that he and Marsha have worked so hard to build. To our barbershop friends and family... We wanted to let you know that John was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. This came as a complete surprise to all of us and the doctors are still gathering information to determine the next steps. At this time we ask for your patience in scheduling at the barbershop. It may take a few days for an appointment to be available, but Dave will fit you in as soon as possible. ... We also ask for your prayers as we navigate the unknown. Whew, what a weekend! We had 2 and a half days to do a complete overhaul of the shop workspace! Lots of hard work, but we think it turned out great! Take a look for yourself!
