Jefferson-Volunteer Fire-Company

As the former State Fire Commissioner this is something I advocated for during my 14.5 year tenure. There are some who are claiming this will negatively impact ...the volunteer fire and EMS services. This is not the case. The loan program is not competitive and there are hard limits on the amount of money and loans an organization can have at any one time. The program has been self funded since the initial inception of the program. With the exception of two times as I recall when the General Assembly added additional funds because the amount of money that could be borrowed was increased. In the end this will not have a negative impact on the program and it will not have a negative impact on the volunteer fire and EMS organizations. I'm asking that you vote yes to this referendum.

We would like to thank Waynesburg - Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company and Jefferson-Volunteer Fire-Company for their quick response to the Greene County Airport. Their quick and efficient acts helped lessen the loss sustained. Thank you!!
