Please read... (forwarded, not my dog) These flavored nylabone chew bones should not be given as they can break apart and be swallowed. As you can see in the picture the 1 inch piece. It was stuck in our Buddy's stomach and another piece tore a section of his intestine. X-rays didn't pick this up and after several days of him not eating, vomiting and being listless the vet decided exploratory surgery was warranted. ... It was a very expensive lesson. He is doing well now, but for a while it was touch and go after he developed an infection. We had to tube feed him four times a day since he couldn't/ wouldn't eat on his own. He still has the feeding tube in but that should be coming out next week since he has gained his appetite back. Yea! I highly encourage anyone who has these to discard them.

I’m very happy to share this today on the 245th Birthday of the Marine Corp! The Parkesburg Lions are blessed again this year to be able to send some holiday cheer to a battalion of PA soldiers that are protecting a highly volatile area overseas. The service members are all men and women FROM PENNSYLVANIA!! Their names cannot be released due to security reasons and they are in a remote area away from any services at all. This information was received from a PA State Comman...d Officer at Indiantown Gap. Last year we were fortunate enough, with your help and generosity, to be able to ship out 93 boxes!! We would like your help to be able to send them at least that amount this year and we are trying to have the boxes to reach them before Christmas. Luckily we obtained the shipping information earlier this year, giving everyone much more time to be able to participate. Our Lions Club is asking for help from our community in adopting one of these soldiers, filling a box, and getting the word out to your family and friends. Let’s show our soldiers some love and support from back home and let them know they are not forgotten. Please tell everyone to include $15.05 for each box for postage. The box needed is a priority mail MEDIUM SIZE FLAT RATE PRIORITY BOX (the square shaped one) from the US post office. You can get the box from the post office, or I can get the box to you or I will be leaving some on my front porch as well. PLEASE don’t seal the boxes because they need to be inspected for customs to ensure they don’t have any restricted items. I have added a flyer with suggested items. Most people last year said they had great luck getting their items at a very good price from Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar or Walmart. *** Don’t forget to include a little note to your soldier with your name and address. Several people received thank you notes back last year. Also please make your items generic to any sex please! If we can aim to send out the boxes by 12/11 they will get them for Christmas!! I know that together we can do this!! As Lions our motto is We Serve - but with your help we are able to do so much more. Help us show some love to those that are serving us every single day!!!! Hello everyone! I am 2nd VP of our local Parkesburg Lions Club and we are currently collecting items for Louisiana. Here are the details. I can pick up any donations you have. "Louisiana needs OUR help!!! The Lions are asking for help from you and all the churches in our area. We are collecting supplies to be transported to Lake Charles, LA after they were hit by a category 4 storm and it devastated their town.
