In case you missed it!

Stimulus payments have begun!! What does this mean for you? If you had direct deposit on your 2019 tax return, you don't have to do anything. Your stimulus payment should be deposited within 48 hours. If you had your refund directly deposited onto an Emerald Card, your refund will load onto your card. Per the CARES act, the bank has up to 48 hours to fund your card. If you had your fees withheld from your refund, but direct deposited into your account afterwards, you...r stimulus payment will go into your bank account. Again, per the CARES act, the bank has up to 48 hours to release your funds. If you did a Refund Advance (the same day loan when you filed your return), or OWED MONEY, or had a paper check sent to you, you now can upload your banking information to the IRS web portal. Here is the link: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment o You will need: 2019 Adjusted Gross Income from your tax return, refund amount, and the EXACT address on your 2019 tax return. Plus your banking information. It will update automatically and you should receive your stimulus payment within 2 weeks. If you don't have a bank account, you will receive a paper stimulus payment check. These are being released later in the summer. As of right now, the IRS DOES NOT have 2018 information uploaded to the database. This means, if you haven't already filed your 2019 tax return, and need to input direct deposit information, you will encounter an error. It is updating daily. Our advice is to continue to try daily. July15, 2020 is now the deadline to file for 2016 refunds! if you or someone you know hasn't filed 2016 yet and is due a refund you just got a 3 month extension of time to file and claim that refund!
