Good morning! It's absolutely gorgeous outside! Remember to head over to the Kempton Fire Company to help with the Albany Township road clean-up this morning starting at 8:30am. Everyone helping will receive a 10% off food coupon to be used here at the Hotel!

The Kempton Lions Club has teamed up with several other organizations in the area and is planning on doing a clean-up of some of the roads around Kempton, this Saturday, April 17. They're also doing a food drive the same morning. Read attached flyers for more information. (You might remember that immediately before COVID-19 hit, we had been planning on doing this. I'm so glad that it's finally happening, even if it is a year later. Also, I know many people around Kempton already spend time picking up trash on their own time. I'd just like to say that your efforts are appreciated very much, even if you never get official recognition. Thank you for all you do to help keep Kempton/Albany beautiful! -Katrina)

We're hiring servers- we'd love to find someone available for multiple days, but if you're interested in just doing one or two nights a week, we'd be happy to have you! Must be 18 years or older. We're also looking for host/hostess for Friday and/or Saturday evenings. If interested, send a message to the Hotel Fb page or come in during our normal business hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-9pm) for an on-the-spot interview.

This post is from a while ago, but it's a good one!

**Short version: we are closed until further notice due to new COVID-19 exposure.** Now, here's the longer version... Well, well, well... this has been quite the week. When I tell you not to judge a business by what they choose to do on the whole COVID practices, I really mean it. There is an immense amount of thought and reasons that go into it... and the texts! SO MANY TEXTS!! ... Sadly, we have had more positive cases and are unable to open at this point. We definitely won't be opening this weekend- earliest possible opening, in the best case scenario, is next Friday. But due to being understaffed to begin with, then having people out due to COVID, we'll have to decide closer to the date once we get a better grasp on the situation. We know not everyone agrees with these decisions, but believe me when I say, we have got a lot going into the choices we're making. We know you miss us- and we miss you all too! We would absolutely love to be open as usual right now instead of dealing with this! As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

I'm so excited! I've been working on new takeout menus today, and figured out a way to get them on our website so anyone can download and print one. Go to http://www.kemptonhotelpa.com/menus.html and you'll see a file to download... I might eventually make it a little more fancy, but at least it's available and functional for now. No one else has checked these out yet, so I may need to do editing- for example I realized I should include our hours-, but I was too excited not to share right away! (It's the little things in life, haha.)

Y'all are gonna have to wait a little bit longer for our delicious, made-from-scratch food! So in the meantime, just try not to cry as you look at this picture of our fabulous fried pickle coins that you CAN'T have today!

We are temporarily closing, starting this Wednesday, due to a staff member testing positive for COVID. We will keep you all updated with our plan to reopen. We're right in the swing of things for our Easter dinner! We enjoyed having Brian, Wendy, Marie, and Tommy join us, and look forward to seeing all of our other guests today!
