Our small team shipped hundreds of cases this past week. We really pushed hard to get as many orders shipped on or before the USPS shipping cut off on Friday, and we hit our target. We will be shipping a few other orders out on Monday with Fedex. All other orders will ship in January. We are truly grateful for all of your orders and support this year. Thanks for the patience. I cut into some incredible cocobolo this week. It’s got a little bit of spalting in the sapwood, and unbelievable color. I’m calling it rainbow cocobolo. We will be listing it this week on Kerf Select. If you’re interested in this send us a dm, or email. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Somewhere is this stack is a case that is went to our 10,000th order. It’s a big milestone for such a small team. It means we’ve made thousands of phone cases, wallets, studio cases, and skins. I’ve often read about the 10,000 hours principle of becoming an expert. After so many years of working on the craft, building the business, creating the culture, cultivating the relationships, and so many more facets to learn, I hardly feel like an expert. I’m just happy and super grateful that we’re still here, having fun and making products we are proud of. We get to do all this because of you all, our amazing customers. Thanks for believing in us!!

Our website was down today for some maintenance. If you tried to snag a case and were unable, please rest assured that things are back up and running. Our website might have paused, but production never stops. Still doing that #summersale and we’ve got some new things in the works too! Stay cool in this heat.

Stacks on Stacks. First batch of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro cases shipped today. We spent a lot of time this week perfecting the fit with these new phones, making sure they are compatible with MagSafe, and testing over 15 prototypes. Next week we will scale production and get as many of the preorders shipped as we can. Thanks for all the patience as we craft as close to perfection as we can.

We’ve got the iPhone 12 in the shop. Our cases are compatible with MagSafe. The charger will stick to the case via the magnets and holds itself on with plenty of force. First round of 12 and 12 Pro cases will ship next week!

Figured Walnut. It’s one of our best selling cases. From curly figure to that feathered pattern, from flames to marble cake, there sure are lots of options. We just cut into some high quality stuff this week. Check out our stories tomorrow to see more.

Here’s a sampling of some of the Spalted Maple we have cut right now. This wood comes from northwest Pennsylvania and starts off as normal Hard Maple. The logs are then inoculated with mushroom mycelium and left to sit in controlled conditions for up to 4 years. Spalted patterning is highly varied, we never know what will reveal itself when we saw into a board. Mystery awaits!

Little bit of beach in Pennsylvania. I had a gorgeous and relaxing Sunday with my amazing family. I’m missing it right now. Monday can be a tough transition for me, but getting out into nature over the weekend, and spending time in special places with people I love is a really great way to reset, recharge, and get ready for the week ahead.
