An open air art show last Friday was the perfect way to start Spring Break.
Spring means many opportunities to use the school garden as an outdoor classroom. Teacher Celia Martin shows the 6th grade how the old growth of the raspberry plant must be pruned in order for the plant to produce new growth to bear fruits. Nature teaches us so much not just about the physical world but the spiritual one as well. Learn more about our gardening program here: -https://www.kimberton.org/curriculum/gardening/
At KWS, history is more than just dates and events. It's about connections to our past and our part in the future. Today high school students will create a deeper connection to world history as they meet with Holocaust survivor, Daniel Goldsmith via Zoom. As part of the Witness to History Project from the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center, our students will hear Mr. Goldsmith's personal account, ask questions, and become lifelong educators to others about the Holocaust. Learn more about the program here: https://hamec.org/programs/witness-to-history/
With over 400 acres to use as an outdoor classroom, biology labs like this one for 6th grade, become immersive learning experiences.
