Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and did some spring clean up
Happy hoppy Easter!
To the First Robin by- Louisa May Alcott Welcome, welcome, little stranger, Fear no harm, and fear no danger;... We are glad to see you here, For you sing, "Sweet Spring is near." Now the white snow melts away; Now the flowers blossom gay: Come, dear bird, and build your nest, For we love our robin best.
A big smile on Liam’s face as he completed the 100 board today.
During our Ireland week we learned about American Painter and Teacher, Robert Henri. 25 June 1865 - 12 July 1929 The children painted their own Ireland landscape this week.
Happy 5th Birthday to our friend Mason!
Cheers to Ms. Barbara Bernaerd Cooper! Today we had a blast celebrating her and making her feel loved. We are so lucky to have her leading the way.
Let’s all wish our fearless, super hilarious, adventurous, courageous and always supportive leader, Ms. Barb, a Happy Birthday! We you! The teacher’s first duty is to watch over the environment, and this takes precedence over all the rest. It’s influence is indirect, but unless it be well done there will be no effective and permanent results of any kind, physical, intellectual or spiritual. Maria Montessori
Big smiles for the BIG 5th trip around the sun. Happy birthday to our friend Oliver.
It’s the spring thaw.
Now that all the surprises are home and opened up, we love to share some of them. So much fun to make and do it all!
Be sure to check our private Kinderhaus Families group page to see all the individual photos we took of the children in front of our tree.
Our Fancy Lunch was such a perfect way to kick off our winter break. The children showed up in their fancy clothes and wore St. Lucia crowns or Star Boy hats from Sweden that they made. We all sat at a long table. Ms. Barb made homemade rice pudding and we sprinkled Belgium sugar on top. We lit candles, danced, took photos and played in the snow. We hope you all have a peaceful holiday full of warmth, spirit and light.
Winter Solstice Greetings by Janet K. Rauch. A blanket of snow glistens fluffy and white... Tucks us in, oh so cozy for the long winter night We'll light one white candle Let busy minds release all the cares of the day for a moment of peace On this longest of nights and shortest of days Thank the Great Universe for the sun's growing rays From our house to yours Yuletide blessings we send So gracious life's cycle No beginnings, no end For those who aren't here we've a hole in our lives But because we're all one Their spirit survives Their breath in the wind Their voices are heard in the chirping of crickets and the sweet singing bird In the great scheme of things We're connected to all If one of us stumbles Another may fall So gather your loved ones Your friends and your foes We're all in this together Yes, that's how it goes Mother Nature can teach us She'll show us what's best If we learn from life's lessons she'll do the rest So let's light our candles on Winter Solstice night Celebrate kindred spirit and be one with the light Beautiful art by Lizzie Spikes https://driftwooddesigns.co.uk/
We put our mark on a field of fresh snow! Happy Friday Friends!
