Now that we have closed out 2019, put away Christmas decorations, eaten the last of the leftovers, we know that you all are thinking about one thing, and one thing only . . . . KINGDOM WEEK 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited about this year and all of the opportunities to serve Christ's Kingdom here in Aliquippa this summer. As usual we will begin our Pizza with a Purpose planning meeting FRIDAY JANUARY 24th, 2020 in fellowship Hall at Mt. Carmel Church. We wil...l eat at 6pm. We will provide the pizza and if you'd like, please bring a salad or desert . It's not HOW you participate in Kingdom Week, it's THAT you participate in Kingdom Week. All people, ages, skill sets, ideas etc. are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is the best week of the year, and we can't wait to see everyone and get started on another amazing journey with you all. See you on the 24th!!!

Kingdom Week 09.12.2020

Tonight would have been our Kick off night for Kingdom Week 2020. Lets all remember Kingdom Week is not just a week of renovations, fellowship and fun . . .it is a time for us to be renovating and renewing our hearts and love for Jesus, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We don't need an official Kingdom Week to check on our at risk neighbors, bring meals to those who are shut-in, volunteer at local charities, do projects around our churches, mow the neighbor's lawn etc. We don't need an official Kingdom Week to love each and everyone we encounter, and be ever vigilant for opportunities to serve in any capacity. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Kingdom Week 03.12.2020

Hello Kingdom Weekers! As most of you know, due to COVID 19 we have decided to postpone Kingdom Week this year until next year. This decision was made with the feedback from the participating congregations as everyone felt that waiting until next year was the safe and prudent thing to do, given the sensitivity and close contact that we enjoy with our participants and community members. As painful, disappointing and frustrating this pandemic has been for everyone worldwide, I... would encourage us to pause this summer and thank God for the day-to-day freedoms we enjoyed before this pandemic began and to pray for guidance and wisdom for how we as followers of Jesus can work through our ever-changing society. That said, I always say that Kingdom Week is the best week of the year, and I mean it. My prayer is that we take the bitter disappointment that we feel this summer and use that as a catalyst and motivation to make next year the best participation year yet! Kingdom Week is not just a week of renovations, fellowship and fun . . .it is a time for us to be renovating and renewing our hearts and love for Jesus, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Lastly, let's take the next 11 months before Kingdom Week 2021 to be constantly spreading the message of Kingdom Week within our congregations and communities, and take this opportunity to have the best turnout ever in 2021. As always, I am happy to attend your church services and meetings to discuss Kingdom Week as you pray about your involvement. The way I see it, Kingdom Week 2021 planning begins now . . . let's come out of this stronger than ever and show our community the power and love of Christ! Be well, stay safe and more details for 2021 to come! In His Everlasting Peace and Love, Chris Brett Ruling Elder, Mt. Carmel EPC [email protected]
