We heard that Evangelist Jeremy stood on a trailer from 5000 Fishes, Inc and spoke a word. 18 gave their lives to the Lord today.... Yesterday was POWERFUL and JOYFUL! We are so thankful for the leadership of our PennDel Ministry Network! Our District Superintendent Dr. and Pastor Don Immel joined us to share a word and officially install our new Lead Pastor, Thomas R. Manning. We are so excited for the future of our church and our mission to empower people for life! We began a new sermon series this weekend, EMPOWERED for Life! The Holy Spirit wants to empower us with gifts, and the first gift is WISDOM. Kinport family, we want to remind you of a couple important things happening tomorrow morning! During the 10:30 Worship Service, Kinport Kids (K-5th) will join us in the Ministry Center during worship. Our prayer leader will dismiss the children following prayer (if you sign in your children in prior to worship, you can remain in your seat while your children are taken back to the Next Gen Center by our Kids team). Our nursery and Jr. kids (preK and younger) will still be o...pen during worship, so you can drop off your toddlers or young children prior to worship. Thank you volunteers! Also, STAY after the service if you: 1. Are new to the church, 2. Are new to your faith, 3. Have questions for or want to get to know Pastor Thomas. We will be holding a Meet and Ask the Pastor, your M.A.P., immediately following service in the Next Gen Center. See you tomorrow morning! Leading to the cross... Jesus had been whipped across the back multiple times... the whip having multiple straps with jagged bone attached to the ends. The pain and blood loss was immeasurable and would have sent His body into shock. The crown of thorns placed on His head pierced into His flesh and hit multiple nerves, shooting pain throughout His face and down His neck. ... Carrying the cross beam to the site His body was desperate for rest and water as the beam rubbed against the open wounds of his back. On the cross His wrists and feet were pierced with nails. His back rubbed against the raw wood of the cross post. His shoulders dislocated, his lungs were desperate for air, and in order to exhale a breath, He would have to push Himself up against the cross. People did this to Jesus, thinking themselves justified. People mocked Him and spit at Him. But Jesus knew God’s plan... And of all this... what did Jesus say on the cross with the limited and struggling breath He had? FATHER, FORGIVE THEM! Death is not the end. The cross is not the final word.
