UPDATE: Due to the high temperatures forecasted, KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School will dismiss students early at 12PM, tomorrow, Tuesday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 29th. Students that walk home or get picked will be dismissed promptly at 12:00PM. School buses are also scheduled to arrive at 12:00 PM to take students home. ... Thanks!

Yesterday, Grammy award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn visited our 6th grade strings students at KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School in partnership... with the Philadelphia Orchestra’s School Ensemble Program. Due to a power outage at KIPP West & in the area, we will need to dismiss students beginning at 12 PM this afternoon. If your student takes the school bus, they will be dismissed at 12 PM. Students that walk home or get picked up will also be dismissed at 12 PM. Please call 215-694-3893 if needed.

Join us in support of our KIPPsters for an evening of back-to-school fun! On Tuesday, August 22nd at 7PM, all five KIPP Philadelphia schools will come to together to perform live at the Dell Music Center! Following their performance, the Dell will host a FREE showing of the movie, #Moana and give away free backpacks to all students! Bring a child, bring a friend. We hope to see you there!
