The environment in the U.S. has never been cleaner in our life-time than now, yet the eco-activists would have us believe otherwise. Check out this article written by our Vice-President and Senior Environmental Scientist Rob Smith. https://triblive.com//robert-smith-weve-got-enough-enviro/

KU Resources provided the sports court design for a raised playdeck at the Reynolds Middle School in the School District of Lancaster, PA. Expansion of the nearby school building required the design of a structure above a required parking lot to provide a venue for the students’ recreational needs. Surface and subsurface drainage was designed in conjunction with a two-lane running track, an artificial turf multi-purpose field, and basketball courts. All areas beyond the turf was designed with a gel-filled, cushioned surface system for student safety. #kuresources #landscapearchitecture

Many years ago, LGA's own Scott Bofinger was a student attending Kittanning Junior High School at the corner of N. McKean & Vine Street. Today, he and our resid...ential design team return to that school's former location to design an affordable senior housing development. Partnering with TREK Development Group, Mistick Construction, Ray Engineering, Whitney Bailey Cox & Magnani, LLC, KU Resources, Inc., and Building Performance Architecture, this Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) funded project will feature 36 affordable apartments, including 4 accessible units double PHFA's requirement! The building will feature amenities including a double-height resident lounge, a wrap-around front porch, exercise room, craft room, on-site laundry, tenant storage, and an outdoor area for resident gardening. Stay tuned for more updates as this project develops! #residentialdesign #seniorhousing #affordablehousing #kittanning #architecture

We want to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to our employees who have kept us going over the past few months during this unprecedented time. We could not be KU without our incredible employees. We also want to say THANK YOU to our clients, and all of those who have continued to send work our way. KU has remained open with most employees working from home and a limited staff in the office to keep us providing essential services to our clients. KU appreciates everyone’s patience while we work through these changes and we promise to continue to provide the same quality services you have become accustom to as we proceed into the future. We wish and hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy!

KU Resources was proud to be the lead design engineer for the Lytle Street Project at Hazelwood Green. Lytle Street was designed to be both highly sustainable, with tree trenches, bumpouts and swales, as well as being fully multi-modal with protected bike lanes and raised intersections. The Street will add additional bike interconnection with the trail installed as part of the Blair Street Project. https://triblive.com//new-streets-bike-lanes-open-at-haze/
