As we celebrate our staff this week, we wanted to share a few of the faces behind the masks (or phones!) We are all happy to cuddle and care for your loved ones as they visit with us.

Celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week with us! We extend this week's festivities to include ALL our staff at K. Vet as an annual tradition! Please give our awesome staff a shout out for the difficult work they do every day, but even more so now. We are looking forward to a much needed week of fun activities to lighten our spirits. This year has brought many challenges to the veterinary field. Our staff has done a truly outstanding job working their hardest during ...the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to provide uninterrupted care for our patients, and service to our clients. They willingly altered their work schedules earlier this year to divide into teams to minimize our risk to each other. They quickly learned new technology as we implemented new phone and text messaging systems, as well as telemedicine, to help with the overwhelming telephone call volume and need for veterinary care. They braved 100 degree heat many days this summer providing curbside service for our patients. Their cleaning workload increased dramatically. They worked very long days seeing a record number of sick cases. All the while dealing with the added stress the pandemic caused in their private lives with school closings, etc. To say we appreciate the entire team is a huge understatement. We are thankful to the bottom of our hearts for each and every team member who has stuck with us through this difficult time. We will be posting some pictures all week of the faces behind the masks so you can better get to know the voices on the telephone and those taking care of your beloved pets when you cannot be with them. We miss seeing you all face to face and are looking forward to the day we can safely do that.

New Curbside Texting Service!! Starting Friday, September 18th please TEXT us right from the parking lot, when you arrive at our hospital. The number is: 412-472-7596. - If you have an appointment, text: APPT. - If you need to pick up your pet's medication, text: MEDS - If you brought us a lab sample (urine, feces etc), text: Dropoff. The new curbside texting system will help us get you taken care of more quickly. Our parking spots are now numbered as well. ... Should you not feel comfortable with texting, you can still call us at: 724-216-5174, of course!
