Lancaster Stands Up

Today (Oct 27th) at 5pm is the DEADLINE to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot. You can do that by clicking here: https://bit.ly/2JcOIsA If you have not yet returned your mail-in or absentee ballot, please do so ASAP! You can drop it off at the drop off box located inside the Chestnut Street doors of the Lancaster County Government Center (150 N Queen St, Lancaster City) or you can mail it, we DO NOT suggest mailing your ballot. We recommend you drop it off if you are... able-- starting tomorrow, you are able to drop your ballot off between 8:30am and 8pm on 10/28, 10/29, 11/2, & 11/3. On Friday 10/30 the hours of drop off are 8:30am to 5pm. On Saturday 10/31 you can drop your ballot off from 9am to 2pm. Sunday 11/1 the office is closed. Today is a dark day for our democracy: Senate Republicans have completed their sham process and confirmed Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. Instead of passing vital Covid relief for working families, Trump and Senate Republicans thought it more important to ram through a nomination 8 days before an election. This flies in the face of common sense and good governance. It is clear that they did this with the intent of overturning the results of November 3...rd if the opportunity arises and handing the election to Donald Trump. This is a blatant attempt to ignore the will of the voters and we will not forget. Do not lose heart and let us do everything we can in these last 8 days to make sure it does not come down to a decision by an illegitimate Supreme Court.
