IU13 is now hiring a Program Supervisor to lead the Preschool Early Intervention program. This is a full-time position with great benefits that is located in Lancaster County. The Early Intervention Program of IU13 provides support and services to children, from age three to age five, with disabilities and the need for specially designed instruction. Let’s meet Sambo. Born in a Thailand refugee camp, Sambo relocated to the US in 1985 with her mother, brother, and grandmother. One day at a time, I progressed. It got overwhelming. But it took me where I want to be. Sambo also pursued U.S. citizenship, enrolling in an IU13 citizenship class and passing her test in 2012. Today, Sambo has one year remaining in her quest for an associate’s degree in Social Sciences. I can’t even ask for more, she concludes. Since 1971, the ...Adult Education program has served more than 70,000 individuals, as well as business and schools. It offers classes in Citizenship, English as a Second Language (ESL), Health Career Basics, and High School Equivalency (HSE, or GED) subjects, which build a strong foundation for PA workforces and communities. Teaching problem solving by Failing Forward: IU13 educator Judy Craig put coding lessons into a broader context during her SEE Seminar. Students coded a simulated OzoBot through different coding challenges. Look at the first picture.
