Well everything is off the house and the lawn and just in time! We had a wonderful year for our light display We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. Thank you to Bomberger's for the use of the lift to get everything on and off the house. Thank you to our advertisers, Keller Brothers Ford, Gary Schmidt's Garage, Fred Waller Tax and Lititz Family Chiropractic. Please note that all of the monies collected from our advertisers go directly to the Lititz Fire Company. Because of this generosity, we were able to donate $3569.00 to the Fire Company. This year's donation brings our total donations to the Fire Company over the last four years to over $10,000. We are very proud of this accomplishment and Rich is already working on new ideas for next year.
Our 2020 display was one of our best and we hope you all enjoyed it. The Fire Department will be coming this afternoon around 4:30 to move Santa and the star off the roof if anyone would like to watch. We will also be presenting the check at that time rather than at their monthly meeting. We thank everyone for their support and kind words and we are already planning the 2021 display!
Hi all. it's 5:45 on Tuesday night. having a slight technical problem but should be fixed in a few minutes so if you are in your car just bear with us! Thanks.
Hi all. Rich has decided to run a show for the weekend. It will not be the same songs that ran in this year's shows but it will be coordinated to the music so if you did not get a chance to see the lights this year, you have a couple of more chances. The show starts at approximately 530 pm and will run until around 10.
This is the last night of a great season of our light show. We would like to thank our wonderful friends and community for the kind comments and generous contributions to the Fire Department. Putting on a show of this size has taken a lot of time and money but the joy it brings to children and families has made the effort worthwhile. We also hosted the Light Up Lititz tour and are thrilled with the response of over 1000 votes cast. The giving to the Fire Company has far exceeded our expectations and we look forward to 2021.
We are once again in the Lancasteronline holiday light contest. We would really appreciate your vote! Here is the link. https://lancasteronline.com//article_f1ecb65c-1e3f-11eb-9c
Let it be Christmas by Allen Jackson with videos by Misty Motz
Tonight is the busiest I have ever seen it with more cars and people I can't safely navigate the way back into my house. Everyone is keeping distance and it is so nice to see the children dancing in the driveway and trying to catch the snowflakes. We can see that this is making many people happy and that's what makes it all worth it. Rich & Wendy Motz
As many of you know, we did not put the interactive buttons out this year because of the pandemic. We have added however, a TOUCHLESS interactive button that the kids can try keeping social distancing in mind. Just wave your hand where indicated and see the magic!
Hi all - I found a gray cap across the street from our house this morning. If someone was watching the display and is missing a cap let me know. Hope everyone is enjoying the lights.
The house on Christmas street is written and sung by our friend Judy Pancoast and is the only song that is in the show every night.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We are busy putting the finishing touches on our show and hope you can all come out and enjoy it. We have made some changes this year; some good and some not so good. We have a new song that we think everyone will enjoy. However, because of the Covid restrictions, we are not bringing out the train set that we had in the driveway. We have also decided not to put out the interactive buttons. We know the kids love them but feel it is not safe. ...You probably know that we are also not having our traditional opening night but the lights will be turned on this Saturday evening at 5:30 pm. We have upgraded our audio system so you can watch the show safely from your car. if you want to get out please keep social distancing in mind. This has been a challenging year for all and we hope our show can bring everyone joy this holiday season. See more
If anyone is thinking about coming out to see our lights in the snow, we will not be running it tonight. We do hope to have it up tomorrow night. In the meantime here are some pictures taken tonight.
This year we are hosting a Christmas light contest sponsored by Lititz springs park. We are hoping all our friends purchase a lawn sign for the event and anyone that wants to be in the contest. we will not be eligible to win this contest but we will be on the light tour map so we hope you all come and see our new show starting November 28th.
Lititz Fire Company is coming this Thursday 11/5 to put Santa and the star on the roof.
