LIFEGUARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE We are looking for lifeguards to round out the staff for the summer. Anyone that is interested should contact the Perry Augustine - [email protected]. Starting pay is $8.25/hour. For anyone coming with experience we will adjust the hourly rate according to experience. Hours are flexible. Need a current lifeguard certification and working papers, if applicable.

Summertime is coming quick and Laurelwood is still looking for some people to fill out our staff. If you know anyone that might be interested we are looking for 2 assistant managers. The job description is below. Laurelwood Assistant Pool Manager This position is perfect for someone who is a seasonal employee with summers off, has previous life guarding experience, or someone looking for part-time summer employment with great communication and organizational skills. ... Here is a quick position description: the Assistant Pool Manager of Laurelwood assists in running the day-to-day operations of the pool by leading our great staff and interacting with the members of the pool to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all. Most hours for this position occur from Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day Weekend but there is prep work that occurs in April and May to prepare for the season. This position reports into the Pool Manager. More specifically; the Assistant Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing the gate and snack bar operations, ensuring the pool is kept clean and organized, testing pool chemical levels, working with the Pool Manager to ensure the maintenance committee is aware of any issues related to pool operations, helping with special events, and interacting with members and other pool related issues. Training will be provided to the individual that is hired. The Assistant Pool Manager is paid hourly and the pay is dependent on experience. Hours should be approx. 20 30 hours per week once the season starts. For either position, interested parties should email: [email protected] and [email protected].

Weather is crazy today. Due to very few signs ups, on and off showers and very wet grounds, we ended up closing the pool for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow looks nicer. Come to the club, there are not many days left in the season!

What’s August doing to us? Well I guess 2020 continues ....... Due to the cool, rainy weather we will be closing the pool for the day. Tomorrow looks better so we hope to see you tomorrow!... The Wood Is Good!

BONUS WEEKEND!!!! The pool will be open from noon to 8pm this Saturday and Sunday. Don't forget to sign up and come enjoy the pool for one last weekend. We will have lap swim from 10:45 to 11:45 am. ... We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

It has been a great Labor Day Weekend so far and today promises to be another great day. The Wood is waiting for you! See you at the pool later.

It is a stormy evening with some thunder and lightning thrown in so we needed to close the pool for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow evening looks great so don’t forget to come out for the food truck and the membership meeting. Looking forward to tomorrow night!

The Friday Night Food Truck is back for the final Friday of the season from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Right now the forecast for Friday evening looks great! Come out to support the food truck, THE SNACK SHACK. The more people we have show up the better chance we have of being able to get another food truck in the future. Just remember to socially distance on the grounds when you eat your food. The food truck is following all necessary covid procedures including having a square for contactless payment.

Not another day. Due to the weather we closed the pool early today. Let’s hope the weather forecast for tomorrow changes.

And August 2020 goes out with a whimper. Due to the rain and cool weather we are closing the pool for the remainder of the evening. Later this week looks great so plan on being at the pool. Don’t forget the membership meeting on Friday evening at 6:30pm. ... Thanks to Kim we are going to have a food truck on the final Friday of the season from 5:30 to 7:30. Details to be posted soon.
