Penny's Sunflower Farm We had a cow named Penny when I was growing up on a farm in northwestern Pennsylvania. I was only about 7 or 8 years old when one winter day I was visiting Penny in the barn. She was eating and I was standing in front of her petting her head, not paying attention to my scarf (which was crocheted by my grandma) hanging in her grain. I didn't realize she was actually eating my scarf until I felt it pulling and sliding off my neck. I tried to pull it ...from her, but I was too little so I just let it go and she ate the whole thing! I never did tell my parents because I was afraid I would get in trouble. Thankfully nothing bad happened to Penny .... she lived on our farm for many years. I wonder how many times my mom looked for that scarf wondering where I had put it. lol I hope you enjoy this pattern. It is filled with sunshine beaming on the corn field and farm, followed by Penny and her friends in the pasture. Sunflowers grow behind the wooden picket fence where butterflies fly about the shorter purple flowers. Thank you Denine for completing the Easter Wall Hanging! As you can see it looks lovely as a table runner also. When I created this pattern I did not calculated the size of the chart vs. the finished crocheted project, which is why it is bit larger than I intended. This is the only pattern of mine that I did this. The rest have all been calculated and provide finished measurements.

Big day today .... I did my very first ever facebook "live" with my cousin, Kim Latshaw of The Crochet Couch!! It was so much fun! This is the very beginning of my new business, Lavender Cup Cottage! I am creating crochet patterns using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. I will also be expanding to include inset mosaic and filet crochet as time goes on.
