Just successfully settled two work injury cases. The first involved a worker who was thrown from a side by side vehicle while working on an oil and gas project. After being thrown out of the side by side, it unfortunately rolled on top of him causing serious internal and orthopedic injuries. He was life flighted, underwent several operations and was in a rehab center for several months thereafter. After more than a year of litigation, we were able to obtain a favorable se...ttlement which will help him with future medical costs and help him support himself and his family. The second case involved a framer who fell approximately 10-12 feet from a frame while working on a new home in a new housing plan suffering a serious injury to his arm which required two surgeries, a concussion, rib injuries and other orthopedic injuries. His employer did not have insurance but the general contractor did. We filed against the uninsured employer, the Uninsured Employer Guaranty Fund, and the general contractor. After much litigation about which entity was responsible, and about underlying immigration status issues, we were able to obtain a favorable settlement.

Just settled a motor vehicle injury case for $50,000. The notable thing about this case is that the initial offer was $20,000 but then a new insurance adjuster was assigned and lowered the offer to approximately $4500. We then litigated the case and had the case listed for trial. We were then able to negotiate this much higher and fair settlement.

Just had a Non Permanent Resident Cancellation of Removal case granted by the immigration judge in Pittsburgh. This means that my client will now receive his green card. This is especially important for him because he needs a transplant of a vital organ and needed the green card in order to be put on a transplant list.
