Well, it is that time of year again !!! I was scrolling through my phone and I came across this picture, it was SO MUCH FUN last year @lawrencerothsalon for ...Halloween. (We just LOVE the Holidays!!) The salon is all decked out and looking creepy... We are definitely dressing up again this year...it will be on 2 days, October 29th and 30th. Following our safety protocols, we work on two teams and each team will be dressing up. Look at beautiful Mariah... she came in a few days ago to get a fresh new look, Curly Cut and Color!!! It's that time of year with the seasons are changing... We need something new!! We are not too sure what the future holds, a great hair cut and color can really help us to feel on top of the world !!! Mariah enjoyed her afternoon with me by getting a specialized Curly/Deva cut. I am pretty sure you have all seen the photos of women going grey all in one appointment. That type of work is incredibly amazing...right? But do you re...alize how costly and the time commitment it is. 6, 8 even 10 or more hours and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I personally admire that work but it's not realistic for most clients. My lovely, long time client Donna wants to grow out her current color and embrace her natural grey. She brought me a photo of one of those transformations. After a thorough consultation, we decided to take the process one step at a time. We discussed the time frame and costs for the grow-out. I let her know the at-home maintenance of the process, which includes the use of a blue or violet shampoo or conditioner. How long to go between washes for longest lasting results. Deep conditioning is a must! I gave her some homework... to look up pictures of shorter styles that interest her. So in a few months when she is ready for a fresh new look we have a direction to head. In step 1 we added babylight highlights to blend away the line of demarcation from her current color. And used Goldwell Colorance in a cool/ashy shade for more blending. Keeping her cut the same this visit, discussing that eventually, we will do a bigger chop to get rid of the older color. Do you notice the difference in these photos? They are all taken on the same visit... One thing to keep in mind as you go through the process the color will change. Coming back for a maintenance visit of just the toner is always an option. You can see a huge difference between indoor and outdoor lighting, always stand near a window or outside to get the best idea of what your hair is currently looking like.
