February 2, 2021 is a Flexible Instruction Day. February 2, 2021 has been declared a Flexible Instruction Day due to the weather conditions. All students should check the Announcements on Canvas in the Protective Services Academy Tile. Students are to complete Flexible Instruction Packet #1 and work on their Bradylab assignments.... The college credits that students can earn through the articulation with Penn College of Technology is a tremendous benefit to our students. ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS OF PROTECTIVE SERVICES ACADEMY You should have received a call from LCCTC advising you that we are temporarily moving to a Hybrid Model of Instruction as of December 1st, 2020. Details are available on the LCCTC website. ATTENDANCE Students will attend in-person on an A or B schedule --- this is determined by the first letter of the students last name. Attendance is NOT following the current Alpha/Bravo student groups.... In-Person Instruction for Group A is alphabet letters A through L. Group A attends in-person on Mondays and Thursdays. In-Person Instruction for Group B is alphabet letters M through Z. Group B will attend in-person on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesdays is for online all students or one on one virtual instruction. There will be online assignments for the days students are not IN-PERSON. Group A first day back is December 3rd. Group B first day back is December 1st. More information will be made available as we receive it. We will be sending out more emails with information and forms for students that will be required for registration for the EMT course that begins on December 7th.

We are now accepting applications for the January 2021 Dispatch Trainee Academy! The starting rate for a Dispatch Trainee is $14.54/hour with an increase of $1/...hour for every dispatch skillset successfully achieved (Fire/EMS, County Police, City Police, Records). A $1/hour shift differential is paid for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. and $1.50/hour shift differential is paid for all hours worked on the weekend. Any hours worked over 8 per day are paid at time-and-a-half. Candidates selected for the Dispatch Trainee position must have the ability to work 12-hour shifts which include some weekends and holidays, as well as overtime, as assigned. Candidates who are unable to work the above outlined schedule will not be considered for employment. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 4, 2020.
