Lebanon County First Responders Memorial 09.12.2020

STATION SPOTLIGHT: Myerstown First Aid Unit Myerstown First Aid Unit began as part of the Goodwill Fire Company in the 1940s and eventually became its own entity in 1956. Since then, MFAU has continued to grow in its member count and diversity in apparatus. Today, the unit serves with three ambulances, a water rescue boat, rescue snow sleds, and an eight-wheeled terrain vehicle for search and rescue.

Lebanon County First Responders Memorial 20.10.2020

MEMORIAL MONDAY: Donald Leroy "Sarge" Brenner Jr. EOW: January 4, 2017 Speedwell Engine and Hose Company... Firefighter Brenner and the members of his fire department were dispatched to a vehicle crash with injuries at 0152hrs on December 24, 2016. Firefighter Brenner drove Engine 39 to the scene and arrived at 0200hrs. The incident commander directed Engine 39 to stage near the scene. At approximately 0220hrs, a chief officer from another department found that Firefighter Brenner was unconscious. Firefighters removed Firefighter Brenner from the apparatus and he was provided with emergency medical treatment. He was transported to the hospital but did not recover. He died on January 4, 2017.
