I am loving this book. I’ll never forget Shuggie and Agnes. Shuggie Bain tells the story of a collapsing family that is lashed tog by love alone. A dark shining work. Winner of the Booker Prize among others. Highly recommend.

The results are in from the Lehighton Main Street Spring Celebration Window Painting Contest. And the winners are.... #22 Blended Bakery - Peacock and Frogs w...ith a Sweet Tooth #26 Lehighton Area Memorial Library -Quack Open a Good Book #19 UGI - Flower Butterfly and Hanging Flowers Congratulations to the winners, the businesses and all who participated. You truly made the downtown come alive with your creativity, your art and your visions. We thank you for sharing all the colors of spring with Lehighton. With 560 votes, the window paintings were all a success. The top ten were all in close percentages of the three winning windows. Most importantly, we were able to see all the local talent. We hope to have another event in the future to bring you all back to the downtown to share your creativity. The prizes for the winners can be claimed on Friday, April 23rd at Jenny’s Sweets and More during the regular business hours. Welcome Spring! Continue to visit our local businesses. The art will remain on the windows during the spring season.
