Thanks for attending the first two Meetups of the year. 5 Ball Flight Laws & 4 Ways you can Dynamically Move... You now can understand, evaluate and change your ball striking! If you want to help spread the word and help Fatt Matt and me change the Entire Golf Industry then here are the places you can reply with your own positive energy. Your genuine comments could inspire others to attend the next meetup (the more the merrier) or to get more involved with their golf games. I invite all of you to friend me, like, share links and subscribe to Fatt Matt and LehighValleyGolf Pro.com to get the latest updates and some really cool free stuff in the future. https://www.facebook.com/FattMattLLC/ https://www.facebook.com/mark.csencsits.3 https://www.facebook.com/lehighvalleygolfpro/ and of course you can post right here in our Meetup group too. Why Video Games or games in general are good (within reason) for your kids. Let's assume you have watched or even played a video game with your kids. If you haven't you should so you know what I am writing about here. Except in extreme cases, overall games are good to play for the following reasons: Teaches hand/eye coordination with the controller (especially the Wii) Promotes deepened centered focus... Teaches about goal achievement (they want to finish a level or gain a new power in the game) Creates imagination on how to defeat the "monster" or bad guy in the game "boss fight" Promotes strategy and tactics on how best to accomplish a mission (stealth or run and gun?) Teaches time management with your help ( 10 more minutes and then do you homework) Discipline (do your homework and then you can play your game for 30 minutes) Games give them a stress relief from the real world and a place to mentally escape in a safe way Teaches preparation planning get a drink and snacks maybe wash their hands before playing? Competition, some games you can compete online with others (multiplayer) Builds social skills by interacting with other kids by talking about the game. These are the same reasons and benefits (mostly) that I learned as a kid playing "outside"daily in a different era. There was nothing to do inside so we HAD to go outside to seek stimuli! There is no substitute for "fresh air playing" but today's world of play is more technology advanced. I do remember playing Atari "Pong" for hours and hours growing up. Compare that to the graphics, sounds and game play speed of today. The games are so advanced it is hard to break away. A fine balance is the key, which should include a trip to the driving range to hit some balls...but leave the Game-Boy controller at home. Thanks, Coach Mark
