HE IS RISEN The first time I sat at the garden tomb I wrote this in my journal: "As I am sitting in front of the Garden Tomb where Jesus Christ was laid and risen, my heart is full. The peace within this garden is incomprehensible and I find myself overwhelmed by the reality of what happened here. Jesus Christ has risen. He has risen for me and for the welfare of the world. I think that it is important to realize that the resurrection wasn't for us to only overcome physi...cal death, but it was for us to rise from hardship, pain, grief, and sorrow. Because he is risen TODAY, we can access that all TODAY. It was the victory and triumph of Jesus's life, the crowning moment and I am so so so grateful that I am here beholding all of this!!" WORTH THE READ This is our friend Jennifer's story. In a moment of distress, the Lord comforted her and her boys. "Just the other day I had three...yes THREE autism meltdowns happening at once. I just started to chuckle..pretty sure I was starting a nervous breakdown . I looked up at the ceiling and said, "Ok God. I can't do this. I need you to step it up and send legions of angels RIGHT NOW and surround each boy and calm them down!" Guess what! Not 10 seconds passed w...hen all of the sudden each boy suddenly stopped and there was a peaceful feeling in the house again! You see, I don't have to do this alone! Even with James gone I'm not parenting by myself! Even if you're not living in the autism world parenting is HARD! If you feel like you need help all you have to do is ask! STAR SATURDAY Every Saturday we will spotlight a 'Star' in our lives. Today, meet Ashlee!! Hi, My name is Ashlee Smith! I currently live in Lewisburg, PA, I grew up in the mountains of AZ and I've lived in many cities in between. My favorite city is always the one I'm living in at the time, with a close second being either Chicago or Kansas City. My educational background is in music therapy, though I currently work as a technical producer serving large corporations in the...ir virtual employee trainings. I've had many jobs over the years, most of which have revolved around music and dance, but I've also been a bank teller and a website designer. My husband and I like to work together and build brands and social media platforms for small businesses. As you can see, I love trying and learning new things, especially with my husband! But my favorite job of all is being a wife and a mom to my 4 favorite people. I am most content when the 5 of us are loaded up in our car headed out on a traveling adventure. We love big cities, the wonder of nature, good food, and making memories. I believe in kindness and love and that the way we treat each other matters. And I believe that the greatest love we can ever know comes from God - our Heavenly Father - and His Son Jesus Christ. I find my greatest joy in serving Them, in anchoring my sacred marriage to the man I adore in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and in teaching my children of their own individual infinite worth and of the never-ending love God and Jesus Christ have for them. I know They have that same unending love for everybody. I am forever grateful for the word of God written in the scriptures so I can feel the peace and comfort that is offered to all. Most of all, I believe that Jesus Christ lives. He hears us, sees us, cares for us, and loves us. All of us. In all ways. Always.

Throwback Thursday Hey! My name is Sister Schiess and this is my family wayy back in the day! :)) Being the youngest of eight I got to learn lots from my older siblings. My brother LOVED to tease me and get a reaction out of me. Most the time it worked! So our mom made us spend lots of time together holding hands on the couch either reading the scriptures or singing songs together. This taught me a great deal of patience!... I am so grateful that God sent us to earth to live and learn with our families! I sure am grateful for my family, even my brothers! :)) Why are you grateful for your family?
