IRS will be updating us as soon as possible.

To all my clients that filed their 2020 taxes and had unemployment compensation As a result of the American Rescue Plan Act a portion of your unemployment compensation may no longer be taxable. I will be reaching out to you in the next week or two once the IRS issues guidance and my program has updated to discuss filing an amendment to recoup the taxes paid on the portion of now tax deductible (non taxable) earnings. ... Effective August 1st, 2020 Rush, Cancellation and Late Policy No Rush Policy... Rushing is known to sacrifice quality or work, cause errors, and provide little to no room for success. We get very busy and work long hours during the peak tax season, but we don't rush through projects because our work is very important to us. We ask that you allow a week to prepare a standard personal tax return. In addition, our firm asks for two to three weeks for bookkeeping and business return completion. Cancellation Policy We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. It's our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored: 24-hour advance notice by phone at 570-805-4630 ext. 101 or text to 570-309-6422 is required when canceling or altering an appointment. Late cancellations, alterations, and missed appointments are subject to a missed appointment charge of $50. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. Late Arrivals If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments and work follow yours. Regardless of the length of the actual appointment, billing will be calculated based on the full scheduled appointment time.

How many of my followers have been working from home? While I love the idea of bringing back or adding any deductions that would help my clients bottom line, one of the deductions that stands out to me the most is the Unreimbursed Employee Expense deduction. This deduction was eliminated after 2017 and now that so many of us are working from home I feel it would be beneficial to bring back the Unreimbursed Employee Expense is some variety thereof during these difficult times.
