Daisy Award An exciting day for Life Lion. Today, Dan Schaeffer, RN, Dana Lesh, RN, Jesse Plavcan, Paramedic, and Randy Emery, Pilot were presented the Disease Attacking the Immune System (DAISY) Team Award by Kristine Reynolds, Magnet Program Director. This was in recognition for outstanding patient care that was provided during the transfer of a pediatric patient. According to the Daisy Foundation, The DAISY Team Award is designed to honor collaboration by two or more peop...le, led by a nurse, who identify and meet patient and/or patient family needs by going above and beyond the traditional role of Nursing. In addition to the providers who were formally recognized for the care that was provided, we would also like to recognize our Communication Specialist, Mechanics, and Transfer Center staff who are essential part to every patient transport we go on.
