We hope you are reading along with us in our YouVersion bible reading plan called "Tough as Nails." If you are not, and would like to, please send us your email so that we can read along together. Here is the devotional that goes along with today's reading-- The historical book of second Kings ends with the description of the fall of Jerusalem. We read in verse one about Nebuchadnezzar invading during King Jehoiakim’s reign. It was a brutal time with much suffering. To put t...his in perspective we should read the poetic description from a Jerusalem prophet named Jeremiah. He was called the weeping prophet because he suffered so deeply for obeying God. Specifically, he was a lone voice warning the people of Jerusalem about the impending doom because of their disobedience. His descriptions were vivid and specific about the kind of terror Nebuchadnezzar would unleash on their people. The locals wanted nothing to do with Jeremiah’s doomsday prophecies. So instead of repenting they beat him for predicting what they did not want to hear. See more
What a great way to come together in a small group to enjoy the WONDERFUL Scrooge performance from last year! Church, it doesn’t have to be anything over the top. Invite a neighbor, friend or co worker over, pop some popcorn, open a bag of chips and press play!!! It’s all about the connection and the message... not the pressure of hosting
If you didn’t sign up to get an invite to join us as we read through this Bible plan on YouVersion Bible, please send us your email and we will get you set up and ready to go!
This is a rebroadcast of our 2019 production of The Gospel According to Scrooge.
MEET THE VOLUNTEERS Rachel Naugle is the daughter of elders, Jolene and Ryan, and the grand daughter of Pastor Ron & Elaine, and Rita Naugle who we highlighted a few weeks back! If you are a parent with young kids, you most likely already know Rachel. Rachel can be found serving in the church nursery or toddler room on Sundays, providing childcare for the Moms31 group on Wednesday and Thursday’s. Outside of the church, you can find her babysitting for just about everyone in the church. (Yes, we arm wrestle for who gets to use her for group events without kids ) Rachel is loving, patient and kind. She enjoys helping Pastor Angie in any way that she can but what she loves most and is most rewarding to her is watching the kids and babies of the church learn and grow.
