Event Reminder! If you are home tomorrow evening (Saturday, November 21st) you are cordially invited to attend the St. Andrew's Society of Pittsburgh "Virtual" Ceilidh. This is a free event. All you have to do is visit the St. Andrew's Society of Pittsburgh Facebook Page (the link is below) to join the Ceildh. The Ceilidh is from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The SASP has a REALLY GREAT line-up of entertainment for you with some of the best Scottish dancers, pipers, singers and fiddlers in our area. Friends, want to see an amazing Celtic band perform live? The luck of the pipers are with you because The Rogues, including Scottish fiddler, Melinda Crawford are going to be at Westminster College in New Wilmington next Saturday (9/19) for a live concert. The concert is at 4:00 p.m. at Anderson Amphitheater. They will be performing and practicing social distancing so you will be safe if you attend this concert. This is going to be a lot of fun. Don't miss it!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Dear All, the 2020 Ligonier Highland Games that was scheduled this year on September 19 and 20th is officially cancelled. Just received the word from our Executive Director, Richard Wonderly. Next year the Highland Games will only be one day, Saturday, September 18th. In the meantime, God bless you all, and may he keep you safe. Have a wonderful Summer and we'll see you on 9/18/2021.

Thinking of you and hoping everybody is well. Thank you for the sacrifices you are making to keep everybody safe. This is a historic time that we are living in, and one we will never forget. I saw this pic of this Shetland pony and was thinking how the little things in life are HUGE right now. Yes, it is the little things in life that are so very, very special. I hope those little things are keeping you busy and centered during this difficult time. Stay strong my dear friends, and hopefully we'll see you on September 19 and 20th in the Fall. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Friends, we have some FANTASTIC acts lined up for the Ligonier Highland Games Hillside Stage on September 19 and 20, 2020. The "Tartan Terrors" from Canada, Colm Keegan (formerly from Celtic Thunder), and red hot, Scottish fiddler Melinda Crawford, her talented husband on keyboards, and one of the best Bodhran players in the world, Kip Ruefle. I must also mention that Pittsburgh's beloved, whistle/flautist/percussionist Mike Clancy and singer/guitarist, Alan Booth from Abbots Cross will be kicking off the 2020 LHG on Saturday, September 19. Please mark you calendars. Stay the weekend and enjoy every Celtic minute of this amazing event.

Scottish music lovers, we have two exciting events happening both on the same day in Oakland. Mark your calendars and enjoy an exciting day and a relaxing evening listening to some fine young bagpipers. It is a free show! Stay a little longer and enjoy an EPIC Scottish concert from Eabhal at the Carnegie Library Lecture Hall. Scotland is RIGHT HERE on Saturday, November 16th. Don't miss it!

The Catholic Mass under Pavilion E1 had a nice showing of over 100 people on Sunday! Thanks to everyone who attended and to George Balderose, Sharon Capretto and Red McWilliams for the readings and music at the Mass. A special thanks to Father Wolfston from St. Vincents' Abby.
