Responsibilities and Duties Chairside Orthodontic Technicians work directly with doctors and the clinical team to execute clinical care, including patient education, documentation, radiography, and infection control. Position, Locations and Hours We have full-time positions available. This position would involve working at any of our four locations in Lancaster, Lititz, Landisville & Leola. During the SCHOOL YEAR shifts are primarily afternoon & evening Mon-Fri, but may include some morning/daytime shifts & Saturday hours. During the SUMMER months, shifts are primarily all day Mon-Thu. The candidate must be flexible and able to fulfill any possible hours or shifts associated with the available position. Qualifications and Skills We are currently seeking to hire trained Orthodontic Technicians or Dental Assistants, however, for the right candidate who is seeking a long-term career in orthodontics, experience working in dentistry or healthcare or completion of a Dental Assisting program is NOT a requirement. PA Radiology Certificate - Preferred Experience in Orthodontics or Dentistry - Preferred Work ethic, ability to problem solve, as well as having the willingness and motivation to learn skills quickly and help innovate the position in the future, are of the highest value to our organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus! We spy a graduate! Our girl Josie graduated from the University of Pittsburgh yesterday! We first met Josie as a sweet 10-year-old and got to know her while creating her LOA smile. Josie returned a few years later for a brief internship at LOA and we were thrilled when she agreed to officially join our team for the summer and weekends while in school. We are so proud of Josie's work ethic and her ability to balance her school and work life, and we're so excited that she will be joining us full time for the next few months until her next education endeavor begins! This is only the beginning for this shining star.

Early treatment can be a lifesaver! It's common for people to wait until all the baby teeth fall out before bringing their child in for an orthodontic examination. Fortunately, this mom brought her son in sooner so we could take a radiograph and see some interesting things beneath the surface. Two adult teeth are missing and another two are transposed and impacted, meaning they are flipped and stuck up in the jaw bone. Great job mom, and don't worry folks, we've got this!
