Here's a preview of a video series I'm working on called the Inkscape Master Class where I go over every tool, feature and function in Inkscape and explain what it is and how it works. I'm working on it right now but it should be available hopefully in a couple of week. This video is a lesson on the Arrange function in Inkscape.
A simple workaround that allows you to open and create Adobe Illustrator (.AI) files with Inkscape. This is a problem that you will eventually run into if you use Inkscape long enough -- someone will want you to send them the design in .ai format, or they may want to send you a .ai file for you to work on. Since .ai is a proptietary Adobe format, you normally need Illustrator in order to work with it. The song used at the end of the video is Gullible by Jake Aldridge. Jake was kind enough to let me use some of his stock photos for past tutorials so I wanted to return the favor and promote his work.
