Built in 1957, here's radio control plane #6. An original design by Roy Long, Jr. Powered by an OK "Cub" twin-cylinder gasoline engine and controlled via a "Citizen Ship" transmitter and receiver. In the eighties the engine was updated to an OS 90 four-cycle gasoline engine and the radio to a solid-state Kraft system. This in-flight photo was taken in 1983 just before landing. Today the plane still looks almost identical to this photo, and it is the oldest surviving plane from a fleet of 40 r/c planes built by my father.

Great history about the early beginnings of Radio Control planes and the Brown Junior engines. Does anyone remember Bill Brown?
