I enjoyed my own Personal Retreat at Love and Light on Orange today for the Spring Equinox! As the day goes on and the sun shifts, I love moving from room to room. I started the morning session in the kitchen, did Kundalini yoga in the yoga studio, and relaxed in the late afternoon sun in the bedroom for the channeled zodiac readings. Thankful Thursdays, Week 12: Danielle Massi, Shadow Queen In this installment of Thankful Thursdays, I put a spotlight someone whose specialty is to go into the dark places, into the shadows, to help others illuminate their healing and move forward in powerful ways. Danielle Massi initially trained as a Marriage & Family Therapist but has pivoted her career in the most massive way in the last few years. A cancer diagnosis and hysterectomy as a young mother launched her into h...er own healing of traumas and shadows that had been buried in her unconscious. As light workers tend to do, Danielle did the powerful healing work on herself and then began to share that modality with others. I felt the tug to work with Danielle in January, in her 8-week Shadow Seekers course where she channels meditations to support inner child work, past life regression, womb healing and more. In this small group setting with a tight energetic container, I was able to explore and begin to heal spiritual traumas that I hadn’t adequately accessed in years of psychoanalysis and therapy. Although I am trained in my work to listen to the unconscious, I hadn’t fully understood and accessed these experiences. Because of my particular history, this work had some terrifying moments, but Danielle expertly guided the way and held energetic space that allowed me to keep going. Danielle recently shared that her favorite past life was as an Egyptian head priestess, where she helped people cross over into life and into death. She said this feels very much like the work I do now. Helping people be reborn, helping people go back into their past, helping them examine their death and their rebirth process. It all feels very full circle. I 100% experience her this way (I mean look at the energy she is channeling in this picture!) and I am honored to have found this work with her. Also! Welcome to the plants of LALO ... and meet Mary! I sat with the plants today at Love and Light on Orange and really greeted them for the first time (new plant mom here). I asked what they could tell me about themselves. It took a while for me to hear it, but this bromeliad beauty told me that her name is Mary. I asked, oh! Mary Magdalene? Mother Mary? No, just Mary. Ah, I see. Mary. ... Mary is the name of the woman who owned this home and lived here for many years. I never met her, but I feel her sweet creative feisty musical presence from time to time. I hope that she likes me being here, and I have a deep respect for her energy and her presence. I often greet her when I arrive at LALO, and I am honored to learn that the first plant is named after her. Thank you Mary.
