I would like to take a moment to reach out and thank everybody who was involved in any way shape or form with my incident at work on Monday. What seem to start... off like a normal Monday certainly change drastically by 8:30 in the morning. I was struck by a vehicle while working a separate incident along the main line of the PA Turnpike. I’m not going to go into drastic details about the incident itself or my injuries for obvious reasons on social media. What I can say is that I was struck by a vehicle, thrown 15+ feet and was knocked out unresponsive. With the quick work of those people that I trust more than they realize watched me get hit on the traffic camera. They immediately called in the Calvary to help one of there own. I cannot thank everyone enough for what they did to help me in my time of need. I’m a little banged up but it appears I’m going to be able to make a full recovery. To say that I’m lucky would be a huge understatement. GOD was surely looking down on me and it wasn’t time for me to leave this world. Thank you to all the PTC Dispatchers, fellow Maintenance colleagues, all the prehospital EMS staff, the fire department and hospital staff for everything that you have done for me. I look forward to getting back to work and jump back into the saddle again like nothing ever happened. People have been asking me if I needed anything or what can they do to help me. What I would like to ask you all to do is to help me is to help me promote the slow down move over law so that hopefully no one has to experience what I’m going through right now.
